THE TALE OF SWEETS

The festive season is bang-on! What better to celebrate these festivities than sweets? However, have you ever wondered how were these sweet delights of goodness made? If you have wondered about all this and did not find a satisfactory answer, you have come to the right place! In this blog, I would talk about a few sweets that are savoured across all of India. Let's sprinkle sweetness! 1. Halwa This delicious and easy-to-make dessert is a must-have for all Indians during festivals. Ranging from Holi to Janmashtami to Diwali, any festival is incomplete without Halwa. The name Halwa  comes from the Arabic word Hulw  which means sweet. It was originally made by the Arabians who made it using date paste and milk. Halwa arrived in India during the Delhi Sultanate rule.
